Duration: 4 Semesters in two academic years

English shall be the medium of instruction for all the subjects of study and for examination of the course.

M. Sc., Applied Psychology

*Analyse human behaviour, both normal and abnormal using psychological techniques, in Indian cultural contexts and to help individuals to cope up with the demands and overcome challenges for reducing vulnerability and risk factors

 *Assess psychological attributes through scientific testing procedures and prepare psychological profiles for screening, selection, recruitment, training, competency building, enrichment of personal traits and maximizing psycho-social capabilities of individuals and groups in educational, clinical, counselling, industrial and social settings

 *Administer appropriate psycho-diagnostic tools for identification of problems at individual and organisational levels and apply interventional strategies such as psychotherapeutic techniques, counselling skills to resolve human problems across lifespan besides fostering organisational development

 *Assess mental health problems, rehabilitation needs of persons with disabilities with disabilities and prepare individualized psychological intervention plans for treatment/management and monitor the effectiveness of intervention among children, adolescents and adults

 *Apply and practice psychological principles for higher research in various specialized fields of psychology and cross-functional disciplines
